About the Event
Wanna-be runners often smack into two speedbumps at their very first workout - they struggle to breathe, and they struggle to believe they can meet their running goals!
If you’ve struggled to maintain your pace for more than a few blocks and gave up, thinking that you were incapable of running… you’re not alone. We can solve this problem with a mindset shift and a little compassion.
Similarly - that snarky, disbelieving voice in your head, telling you that you can’t run? That voice is an evil mix of your middle school bully, that crusty old gym teacher, some insensitive friend or partner, a whole heap of diet culture BS, and maybe a couple of attempts at fitness that didn’t go so well.
In this free, 2 hour workshop, we'll talk about the mechanics of breathing as a new runner, learn to talk back to that nay-saying voice, and go for a successful run/walk together that will forever change your sense of your own possibility as a runner, mover, and shaker!
Join me for 2 hours of breathing and believing at Miller's Landing Park in Bend, followed by coffee so you can connect with all your new, inspiring running friends!
Your coach is Michelle Poirot, an RRCA-certified running coach and Duke University-certifed health coach with 9 years and 16+ beginner-level training groups under her belt!
